Mamajamamade Nantucket

Many of the stones are hand-mined by close friends who prospect on land in Vermont, New England, and Mexico. Mamajamamade is Nantucket's exclusive mobile permanent and custom jewelry welding option on the island. Special rates apply for multi-person bookings—Kelsi will happily come to your party, event, or house as long as there are 5 or more zaps requested. All offerings are in 14k solid or filled gold, as well as limited options in sterling silver. Custom charms available with advanced notice. As an added bonus, every zap purchased pays for 10 meals for a child in need through the No Kid Hungry campaign.

Zoe Markham Art Nantucket

09 Zoë Markham Art

Nature has been a root in Zoë’s life since childhood. For as long as memory serves, this self- taught artist has been making her mark on any “canvas” available, paper, walls, rocks, clamshells, etc. Growing up in a small town encouraged her to dream big and hone her artistic abilities. Today, pure passion has led her to formulate techniques that merge her two loves- earth and art. “I like to paint scenes that will hypnotize you,” says Markham, “pieces that you’ll blissfully get lost in.”

Markham creates large-scale acrylic and oil masterpieces that pull viewers into the depths of an environment where renderings of giant squid, whales and other creatures combine exquisite detail with wild imagination. Her artworks fuse fantasy with vivid depictions of marine/terrestrial life and the stellar worlds they inhabit. “I love to paint creatures in their element,” she said, “showcasing their fundamental behaviors that hold aesthetic value—being themselves, playing, lounging, enjoying a meal—to portray scenes that are oddly mesmerizing, surreal and strange.” She utilizes different media layer by layer, all dependent on what the piece requires.

Markham focuses on evolving her creativity and expanding knowledge of her favorite disciplines. Seeking to captivate every viewer by provoking a deeper awareness and appreciation of their natural environment while showcasing endangered and unusual species with an imaginative twist.

Inspired by his experience, he started making YouTube videos and has since racked up hundreds of millions of views on his channel Faraway Forge.
